Heather is responsible for overseeing Trust Point’s Emerj360 division, offering on-demand online resources and tools for retirement planning and investing, combined with knowledge and insights from a dedicated and experienced team.
In her role, she provides financial planning and investment guidance for Emerj360 clients — investors with more than $50,000 in investable assets — in a wide range of scenarios, from retirees with questions about making their money last to people nearing retirement or those who need help setting the course for retirement saving. Heather serves as a guide to achieving their goals.
Heather is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. This coveted financial certification is awarded only after mastering financial planning skills proven with course-study and an arduous exam. In addition, it requires adhering to a strict professional code of ethics; a core value of Trust Point. She utilizes her skills learned through this designation and her spectrum of financial knowledge to advise clients.
She emphasizes financial education, providing answers to important financial questions, such as when to take Social Security, or whether to carry a mortgage into retirement. And more than anything, she wants clients to understand that everyone can benefit from a financial plan.
“A lot of people, when they hear ‘financial plan,’ think that they don’t need one because they don’t have a complicated financial situation,” she says. “The reality is that everyone should have a plan and it doesn’t have to be complex. It can be something that we work on piece-by-piece over time.”
Heather attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA in Business Management. She came to Trust Point with a background in the banking industry, previously working as a Business Development Banker for a regional bank in Milwaukee, WI.
Heather serves as the treasurer on the local Children’s Museum Board and is a member of the La Crosse Chamber’s Young Professionals Committee and the Holmen Rotary. Heather can also be found enjoying the summer months in her garden and enjoys running and hiking when time allows.
